Wipro ex-joint CEOs are complimented with great opportunitiesWithin hours of resignation Wipro ex- CEOs Girish Paranjpe and Suresh Vaswani have start receiving calls from various Indian companies and multinationals asking if the two were 'available' for hire.

Once again it has been proved that there are numerous opportunities in the IT sector.

According to a report they both have acknowledged calls from executive search firms like Korn/Ferry International, Stanton Chase, EMA Partners and Head Hunters India.

In addition to IT sector they have been contacted by several other companies operating in different sectors like private equity and manufacturing.

In the past also it had been proven that many mid- sized technology and services companies like Tech Mahindra, L&T Infotech and Aricent have reached out to such leaders to pick up the pace of growth, said by Venkat Shastry, client partner (global technology markets) at Korn/Ferry International. He also said that multinationals will try to capture such leaders for expanding their foot prints in India.

As per reports other Wipro executives who had left their jobs have joined other IT companies like Sudip Nandy, who joined Aricent as CEOin 2008 and Sudip Banerjee, who joined L&T Infotech as CEO in the same year.

Third quarter proves unsuccessful for Wipro in terms of its performance when compared with its competitors like Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), disclosed by Wipro Chairman Azim Premji.

He also added that excuses for underperformance will not solve the issue. The fact is that Wipro has not performed up to its potential in the third quarter but all possible steps have been taken to improve the performance in the fourth quarter.

After their resignation there were few speculations in the market, some of them are saying they will join a PE firm as independent directors because it involves less risk and it is a growing segment or they will start their own ventures. Mumbai-based headhunter said that it is a possibility that they may catch something in a smaller IT company, if offered a stake.

Wipro being the third largest software services exporter by sales of the nation has been served by these joint CEOs for three years.

Third quarter observe 1,319 crore (13.2 billion) net profit with 10% year-on-year (YoY) growth. At the same time revenue accelerate by 12% YoY to 7,829 crore (78.3 billion).

Premji also said that company is very confident on the appointment of new leader. Hope that this organizational change will result in faster growth and changes are not done to get short term reactions from the market. The results will prove the accuracy of a decision.
