Windy Weather made Things bit Difficult during 36th annual Governor's Fish Ohio Day on Lake Erie
Around 100 people participated in the 36th annual Governor's Fish Ohio Day on Lake Erie on Wednesday morning. Participants including legislators and public service officials boarded 19 charter boats and left for walleye fishing off the shores of Port Clinton. The only thing put them off was the weather.
Their day started at 6.30 am. Northeastern winds blowing across the lake on Wednesday led to three to five foot high waves. Such waves are enough to make even an experienced fishermen feel sick. There were 19 boats and each of them was having a representative from ODNR.
They were present so as to answer any query about the lake and also to give suggestion about the walleye fishing and their ecosystem. Budzik, of Logan, has spent three decades with the ODNR Division of Wildlife.
He working as a part-time for the group said that it was a well spent day and they had a lot of fun. Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor was the key speaker on the event, who stated that she was able to fish.
