Warranty Direct names Honda as most reliable car maker in the UKWarranty expert, Warranty Direct has named Honda as the most reliable car maker in the UK.

Warranty Direct found that the Japanese automaker’s vehicles has only a nine percent chance of developing a fault over a 12 month period ahead of Toyota, which ame on the second position with 15 percent.

Suzuki took the third spot allowing Japanese firms to take the top three spots. The top three are followed by Lexus, Mitsubishi, Mazda and Subaru. Korean makers Hyundai and Kia also made it to the top ten lists with the list being completed by Nissan. Land Rover emerged as the least reliable car maker in the list.

The study also looked at cars aged between three and eight years old over a 12 month period and assessed both reliability and average cost of repair. Fiat, Renault and Ford were found to be cheapest to fix.
