Updates on Project of Nokia and Yahoo
Nokia and Yahoo alliance has resulted into a partnership that integrates their web services over both PCs and mobile phones.
This mutual effort sees Nokia offer Yahoo with its maps and navigation services, i. e., Ovi Maps.
Yahoo on the other hand shall extend a support to Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat services to its partner.
This joint effort will employ a merging of the identification engines, which means one can access Yahoo with Ovi login and vice versa.
CEO of Nokia, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, stated that it is a move that will enhance both the user experiences, online and mobile-based.
He further added that he wants to reach the millions of Yahoo customers in key markets including North America making them aware of Ovi Maps. On the flip side Yahoo's online expertise will bring exciting mail and messaging services to all Ovi Mail customers.
The partners have now hinted that will be offering co-branded services, which will soon be available across the world aiming to popularise the concept.
