Two blasts rock state building in Yemeni capital, no casualties
Sana'a, Yemen - Two explosions rocked a building run by the customs authority in the Yemeni capital Sana'a Wednesday, but no casualties were reported, witnesses and police officials said.
Witnesses said the explosions were heard inside the courtyard of the building, which is close to the Italian embassy in Sana'a. Police officials said the embassy was not targeted by the attack.
There were no casualties from the two blasts, and the damage they caused was limited to broken windows in two cars parked nearby.
"It is clear that the embassy was not the target," a journalist at the scene told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
"The customs building was likely the target," he added.
It was not immediately clear whether it was a mortar or bomb attack. (dpa)
