Tamil Nadu legislators will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday to demand a ceasefire in Sri Lanka.

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi will lead the delegation to New Delhi.

The delegation is expected to persuade the PM to take efforts to end the fighting between the Sri Lankan military and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

Legislators belonging to the ruling DMK and its allies including the Congress will be in the delegation.

On Tuesday, a delegation of MPs from the state met the prime minister with the same agenda.
