It has been learnt that soon, TradeMe property and travel shoppers, the New Zealand internet giant, has canned its earlier mapping software, Smaps and replaced it with Google Maps, thus making the paper street maps a thing of yesterday.

This change actually enable the users of TradeMe Property and its travel accommodation site Travelbug, make the most of Google's new Street View programme, launched in New Zealand today.

The users would be able to view photos of streets and surrounding areas over the internet via Street View.

Super Talent Technology, a top maker of Flash storage solutions and DRAM memory modules, announced that the company has entered into a licensing pact with Paramount Licensing Inc. granting rights to make and sell ‘USB Flash drives’, which are based on Paramount Pictures movie title, ‘The Godfather.’

Washington, December 2 : An Israeli mobile phone provider has started a Koran text service that enables users to tap into verses of choice from the Holy Book at will.

Pelephone has revealed that those subscribers to the service have the Koran available onscreen so that they can scroll through chapter and verse.

The service is available for the modest sum of 1.50dollar per month

"We are providing something to subscribers who want to be connected to these texts any time and any place. So naturally we are targeting a population that would use this type of service. Our Arab sector customers are very enthusiastic," Fox News quoted Pelephone Product Content Director Moti Cohen as saying.

Online portal Rediff.com has made announcement about the launching of its ‘Web-in-mail’ service, which let users to access the internet content using email clients such as MS Outlook, Outlook Express and Thunderbird.
