After a prolonged fight with cancer, ace Bollywood actor-filmmaker Feroz Khan passed away on Sunday in Bangalore.

Khan breathed his last at his farmhouse Khan in Bangalore at 1:30 am, a family source said.

The 70-year-old actor is survived by his son Fardeen Khan and daughter Laila Khan.

He had been diagnosed with cancer, and was being treated at a Mumbai hospital for a long time.

Feroz Khan was born and brought up in Bangalore.

His cremation will take place later in the day in Bangalore.

The ultimate style-icon Feroz Khan, who made his Bollywood debut as second lead in Didi in 1960, shot into fame for his hit films of the 70s and 80s, which include Dharmatama, Qurbani and Jaanbaz.

The most recent movie he featured in was Akshay Kumar and Anil Kapoor starred blockbuster hit ‘Welcome’.

Lots of Bollywood biggies have expressed their deep and sincere condolence over Khan's death, and said that it will be a big loss to the Hindi film industry.
