SRK Owned Red Chilles To Enter The World Of TV Production
The King Khan aka the Bollywood legend Shahrukh Khan owned Red Chillies is all set to launch a TV production house.
It is learnt that Red Chillies is making an investment in a number of programs for the small screen.
Commenting over the company’s strategy, an executive said, “We are in the process of setting up our TV division and forming a serious business plan. We are in talks with several entertainment channels for making TV software. In addition, we expect to announce several agreements with various channels for developing shows.”
However, the company spokesperson failed to comment any details on the issue of investment.
In fact one of the shows named as, “The First Ladies with Abu Sandeep” will be aired on channel NDTV Good Times from Jan 3. The first episode will showcase Mukesh Ambani wife, Nita Ambani. Besides, this show Red Chillies Entertainment will also produce a sitcom titled ‘Ghar Ki Baat’ for the same channel.
Earlier in the year, the company had made it clear to invest nearly Rs 100 crore for producing three big-budget movies. The company also boasts for having an extensive VFX studio. Along with Juhi Chawla and her husband Jai Mehta, SRK is also the proud owner of Indian Premier League’s Kolkata team. SRK bought the team for a little over $75 million. Apart from this, SRK has also launched his signature real estate development, Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard, located in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The eight billion dirham ($2.2 billion) development will come up on Dana Island off the Ras Al Khaimah coast and will comprise studio and one and two-bedroom apartments.
According to industry insiders, Akshay Kumar too has plans to invest his riches in the television industry.
