Robot beats Japanese master swordsman
A master swordsman Isao Machii has taught a robot to use a sword, seen in a Japanese commercial. This has been done, when development of different types of robots is speeding up.
Many tests were conducted on the robot such as a simple diagonal cut, some basic fruit slicing, which is there in fruit ninja and the ‘thousand cuts’. It is almost similar to the modern-day samurai.
The robot under consideration is the Motoman-MH24, an industrial bot; it is used in the medical field at times. It was constructed by the Yaskawa Electric Corporation.
The sword-wielding industrial robot fought with a master swordsman in a surprising battle of man versus machine. The Motoman-MH24 machine is generally used for collecting and packing products in factories.
The robot has been trained up by Japanese master swordsman and world record holder Isao Machii in a promotional stunt arranged by the robot’s manufacturer, the Yaskawa Electric Corporation. Machii is called a complete badass in the industry.
The modern Samurai is frequently seen on television cutting fruit, vegetables; plastic bullets are also shot towards him with unexpected accuracy. Machii performs some difficult moves in the latest stunt, after that the robot replicates; it slices through roses, oranges in addition to a PEA POD.
Arms of robot have incredible skills and this has recently come into limelight. In March, its one arm beat a world table tennis champion, whereas Russian military robots have performed very well at a shooting challenge.
