Washington, Nov 1: Astronomers have probed the collision of two large clusters of galaxies, using NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory and Compton Gamma Ray Observatory, to search for evidence of primordial antimatter.
Antimatter is made up of elementary particles, each of which has the same mass as their corresponding matter counterparts - protons, neutrons and electrons - but the opposite charges and magnetic properties.
When matter and antimatter particles collide, they annihilate each other and produce energy according to Einstein’s famous equation, E=mc2.
According to the Big Bang model, the Universe was awash in particles of both matter and antimatter shortly after the Big Bang.
Washington, Nov 1: ‘Full House’ star Ashley Olsen has pledged to keep her kids miles away from pursuing a career in Hollywood, insisting that the industry has turned "ugly".

However, Ashley is convinced her own children would have a less pleasant experience growing up in the limelight than her own, reports Contactmusic.
Washington, Nov 1: Astronomers have probed the physical conditions in the active inner regions of a number of Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies (ULIRGs), with the help of the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT).
ULIRGs are characterized by an enormous energy output, which is totally hidden from view for optical telescopes by massive gas and dust clouds inside these galaxies.
When the universe was much younger, such galaxies were much more common than now, and scientists believe that galaxies of this type have played a key role in shaping the present-day universe.
Washington, Nov 1: Victoria Beckham has failed to land an immediate ruling in a lawsuit against a British publication – implying that the case is now set to go to trial.
