Quetta, Sept 24 : At least one person was killed and 19 others injured in a suicide attack at the airport road near Askari park in Quetta on Wednesday.
Peshawar, Sep 20: At least five people have been killed and 10 were injured in an explosion at a madrassa (religious school) run by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam in Quetta.
Television footage on Friday showed a gaping hole in the seminary’s external wall. The seminary is located on the outskirts of Quetta.
“The madrassa people say that someone threw explosives into the madrassa, but we are investigating,” said police official Wazir Khan Nasir.

Islamabad, July 24: Pakistani security forces have arrested a senior Afghan Taleban commander in Quetta.
Mullah Rahim is said to be the senior most Taleban leader in Afghanistan’s Helmand province.
The Times quoted British commanders in Afghanistan as saying that Rahim gave himself up on Saturday.
The issue was so sensitive that Pakistani security officials would neither confirm nor deny the capture of Mullah Rahim — just as they have never acknowledged the arrest of other high-ranking insurgents in the past.
