Karachi, Mar. 27 : An Indian fisherman, Bhambania Laka, who was arrested by Pakistan's Maritime Security Agency (MSA) for violating the territorial waters of Pakistan, has died under mysterious circumstances in police custody here.
Maritime Security Agency DDG Commodore Muhammad Afzal confirmed the report, but refused to give any details about the cause of death.
"So what, let it be, there is no need to worry," Commodore Afzal callously said.
Rawalpindi, Mar. 26 : The palatial haveli of Rai Bahadur Soojan Singh is in shambles these days due to lack of proper maintenance.
The grand palace built by Rai Bahadur in 1893 for his family housed several antique objects such as Victorian furniture, expensive Chinese silverware in its grand rooms, but now all the rooms lie vacant giving it a haunted look.
Islamabad, Mar. 26 : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set for some more trouble, as its four-year audit report is slated to be released later this month, which is expected to throw light on the massive irregularities committed by the board functionaries over the years.
According to Dawn, the audit report, when made public, would expose mammoth scams running into billions of rupees.
Islamabad, Mar. 26 : An interim investigation report over the terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore has indicated that there was a complete security lapse which led to the Lankan players being sprayed with bullets.
The report also points out towards a possible involvement of a foreign hand in the attack, however, it does not have anything substantial which could unveil the perpetrators.
Pakistan Prime Minister’s Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik shared the report with the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jayalath Weerakkody here, Dawn reports.
Jandola (South Waziristan, Pakistan), Mar. 26 : At least twelve people were killed in a suicide bomb blast at a restaurant in South Waziristan''s Jandola town on Thursday.
A BBC report said that 20 people were injured in the explosion.
It quoted officials as saying that a group of militants opposed to Pakistan Taleban commander Baitullah Mehsud were in the restaurant at the time of the blast.
Some of the injured were reported to be in a critical condition and officials said the number of dead could rise.
Karachi, Mar. 26 : Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar believes that the Australian team does not pose as great a threat now as it did three to four years ago.
Akhtar said it was much easier to beat the Aussies now, as they did not have many star players in the squad.
He said that if the Pakistani players put up a good show in the forthcoming one day series in UAE, they can beat the world champions.
