Islamabad, Mar 21 : At the four-day series of lectures and dialogue on evolution of Urdu drama and theatre titled ''Early Urdu Theatre: Traditions and Transformations'', Russian scholar Dr Anna Suvorova spoke on ''Shakespearean Influence on Urdu Drama and Theatre''.

The event, which had been organised by the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi, took place at the National Art Gallery, and it entered its third day on March 20.

In her lecture, Suvorova said Shakespearean drama, translated into regional Indian languages, was strongly adapted to Indian theatre.

Islamabad, Mar. 21 : The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will not pressurize the PPP Government to lift Governor's Rule in Punjab before the Supreme Court's verdict on a review petition against the disqualification of the Sharif brothers, the Daily Times has reported.

There is a tacit understanding between the PML-n and Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani following the successful lawyers' March and the restoration of the judiciary, sources said.

New Delhi  - India Saturday alleged that Pakistani troops violated a ceasefire agreement and fired at frontline Indian positions in the northern Jammu and Kashmir state leaving a soldier wounded.

Pakistani forces fired at Indian troops in the Uri sector 70 kilometres west of state capital Srinagar overnight, the PTI news agency reported.

Islamabad, Mar. 21 : Believe it or not, Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has property worth 200,000 rupees only.

According to the details of assets and liabilities submitted to the Pakistan Election Commission by Gilani, he does not own any plots, apartments, commercial buildings or agriculture properties anywhere in the country.

Gilani has also declared that he has no business capital.

Islamabad, Mar. 21 : Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has urged the nation to forget the recent political crisis, and said the restoration of the sacked judges offers an opportunity to move on.

"We welcome all the judges to their pre-November 3, 2007 positions. It is time to look forward and build on what has already been achieved, it is time to forget the past and it is time to move on," the Daily Times quoted Zardari, as saying.

Lahore, Mar. 21 : Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will meet the Pakistan Muslim League chief Nawaz Sharif on Sunday to discuss ways to resolve the current political crisis in the country's Punjab province.

Gilani has taken all matters regarding reconciliation with the PML-N leadership in Punjab into his hands, asking the PPP team to immediately abort their `Get Punjab Plan'.

He summoned three Federal Ministers on Friday to get first hand report of numbers game in Punjab, The Nation reports.
