Melbourne, Nov 20 : Muslim women in Australia are starting to fight back against a repressive patriarchal system in which controversial Sheikh Taj al-Din al-Hilali is seen as a champion of women’s rights.
A conference to be held at Melbourne University will duscuss three topics -- Muslim women fight the patriarchal system, the mosque being seen as ‘increasingly irrelevant’ and an educator defending Sheikh Hilali, The Age reported.
Melbourne, Nov 20: Social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, which have millions of users, are being used by extremist groups to recruit members, experts have warned.
Many experts have claimed that extremist groups use such sites to influence people via Web 2.0 tools like blogs, social networks, video sites and instant messaging.
"(These websites) are the ''killer apps'' of the internet today, and they''re used by millions, but the virus of hate certainly has infected those technologies," News. com. au quoted Christopher Wolf, chair of the International Network Against CyberHate (INACH), as telling the Global Summit on Internet Hate Speech.

New South Wales man Keith Roy Weatherley was still pleasuring himself while resisting arrest.
Weatherley, who pleaded guilty to offensive behaviour, resisting police and disobeying a police direction, was convicted and fined 600 dollars.
According to the Newcastle Herald, Police went on a brief, slow-speed car chase to catch after they suspected Weatherley, while he was parked in a no-stopping zone near Nobby''s Beach on October 26.

Craig, who happens to be a videogame fanatic, was very enthusiastic about the game, though its developer Garrett Young revealed that the James Bond star was nervous about how he would look in a videogame.
