A new engine plant will soon start with its process of construction in Talegaon, in the GM Signs Deal To Set Up Engine Plant In Indiawestern state of Maharashtra, as General Motors today signed an agreement regarding building it. The agreement was signed in presence of the Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh and host of other dignitaries, between GM India President and Managing Director Mr. Karl Slym and Mr. A.M. Khan, Principal Secretary (Industries).

On Sunday, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, who had Raj Thackeray Denies Any Extension Regarding The Marathi Signboard Deadline backed out from the issue of Marathi signboard, said that deadline has not been extended. The decision was earlier given by the Bombay High Court.

Raj declared it through a release, “I have not extended the deadline to put Marathi signboards on shops.” He further added that no shop owner would be given any extension.

M&M inks MoU with Maharashtra Government to upgrade two ITIs

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M), one of India's leading auto brands, has signed an MoU with the Maharashtra government to upgrade two Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the public private partnership (PPP) scheme approved by the union government.

Under the MoU, an Institute Development Plan (IDP) will be jointly prepared by the Institute Management Committee (IMC) and Mahindra to ensure required trades in terms of both numbers and quality.

The union government plans to upgrade a total of about 1,400 ITIs under the PPP scheme. The ITIs will be upgraded by Mahindra at Ghodegaon and Manikdoh to help create employment opportunities in the state.
