Lahore, Apr. 5 : The Punjab government has issued a warning to the law enforcement agencies about a probable terror strike on Rawalpindi's Adiala jail, where the 26/11 Mumbai attack suspects have been imprisoned..

According the Daily Times, banned terror outfits like Al Qaeda, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Lashkar-e-Jhangwi (LeJ), and Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LeT) could strike the Adiala Jail to free their key associates.

Lahore, Apr. 5 : Challenging their detention, Jamat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and his three associates have filed a petition in the Lahore High Court.

Saeed, Colonel (r) Nazeer Ahmad, Abdul Rehman and Ameer Hamza filed the petition under Article 199(1bi) of the constitution, the Daily Times reports.

The leaders of the banned organization have asked the court to determine if they were being held in custody in accordance with the law, their counsel AK Dogar said.

Lahore, Apr. 4 : A magistrate court has adjourned hearing on the bail petition filed by the former Pakistan middle order batsman Ijaz Ahmed, who was remanded to 14 days police custody in a fraud case.

According to The News, Ahmed could not be produced before the court due to his ill-health, following which the court adjourned the hearing till Monday.

Ahmad has been shifted to the Services Hospital after his condition deteriorated.

Earlier, he was remanded in police custody in a fake cheque case under Section 489-F PPC.

Lahore, Apr. 4 : Taliban militants broke into Pakistan's National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office located in Swat, and disrupted the work.

According to a private news channel, the armed talibs broke into the building on Friday morning and directed the staff to stop routine operations.

The group reportedly stopped staff from working because men and women were working in the same place.

The Taliban, then demanded the NADRA authorities ensure that men and women work separately in the office.

Lahore, Apr. 4 : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif has claimed that he has forgotten his anger in the national interest and agreed to work with other parties for building Pakistan.

Addressing party workers in Raiwind, he said he wanted to support the government for fulfilling the national agenda, but linked his working with the government to the implementation of the Charter of Democracy.
