Taliban disrupts work at Pak’s NADRA office
Lahore, Apr. 4 : Taliban militants broke into Pakistan's National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office located in Swat, and disrupted the work.
According to a private news channel, the armed talibs broke into the building on Friday morning and directed the staff to stop routine operations.
The group reportedly stopped staff from working because men and women were working in the same place.
The Taliban, then demanded the NADRA authorities ensure that men and women work separately in the office.
The episode comes in the wake of various TV channels airing footage of the public whipping of a 17-year-old girl by the Taliban in Swat.
The incident has caused worldwide anguish against Taliban and local authorities for not being able to protect human rights.
Subsequently, Pakistan based human rights groups and civil society activists are holding protest against the flogging case in Swat. (ANI)
