Free Health Coverage For 36 Lakh Poor Families In Chhattisgarh With the intention to boost its populist schemes, the BJP Government in Chhattisgarh has now decided to offer up health insurance coverage free of cost and cashless treatment facility to 36 lakh families.

Under the proposed scheme, the government will provide annual health insurance coverage of Rs 30,000 to 3.5 million poverty hit families in the state.

Eleven new ministers will be sworn at a ceremony.

Dr. Raman Singh was sworn-in as the third Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh on December 12.

Dr. Raman Singh has been Chief Minister since December 7, 2003.

He joined the Bharatiya Jan Sangh as a youth member and progressed to become a councillor, and subsequently, an MLA. His career reached a new high in 1999, when he won the Lok Sabha seat from Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.

Raman Singh sworn in as Chhattisgarh CM for a second consecutive termDr. Raman Singh was sworn in as chief minister of Chhattisgarh, on Friday, for a second consecutive term. Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan administered the oaths of office and secrecy to the 56-year-old Raman Singh.

About 15,000 workers of the BJP as well as party president Rajnath Singh and senior leader L.K. Advani attended the ceremony at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur.

Governor E. S. L. Narsimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to him at a ceremony in the Police Parade ground.

The ceremony was attended by BJP''s senior leaders including Rajnath Singh and L. K. Advani. Uttaranchal Chief Minister Narayan Dutt Tiwari and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Raman Singh, who was born on October, 15 1952, has been Chief Minister since December 7, 2003.
