Privacy issues – a menace, Facebook users
With the rise-in privacy concerns pertaining to Facebook, on May 31, a user-driven community celebrated the day as "Quit Facebook Day". It is believed that the recent events such as, Pakistan and Bangladesh banning Facebook after satirical religious and political grounds have added fuel to the fire.
These blows have become so intolerant that users came up with a new website called Quit Facebook Day and urged the users to shut their accounts down on May 31. However this attempt seemed to fall flat on face as the movement gained a small response and a few hours ago it could only accumulate 26,000, who pledged to quit Facebook on this website. Well, that seems to be a very small population against Facebook's over 400 million userbase. Meanwhile reports on the revoke on the ban of Facebook in Pakistan have been called off.
