Pritish Nandy signs pact with US-based Sony Pictures; Stock surges 10%
Mumbai-based production house Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC) has entered into an agreement with US-based Sony Pictures for co-production of three films.
The details of the films would be released subsequently. One movie from the series, 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram' has been finalized. Rest two movies are in the last stages of being finalized between the two production houses, an official release stated.
Yesterday, Sony Pictures Intl. Motion Picture Production Group bought worldwide rights from PNC comedy "Meerabai Not Out", which is the debut film of Indian cricket star, Anil Kumble.
DQ Entertainment has acquired 50% stake in the film, which is scheduled to be released in summer.
PNC shares ended the day at Rs 58.40 on BSE, up Rs 5.30 or 10% over the previous close. The total volume of shares traded was 28,215.
