Kathmandu, Aug 16 : The three major parties in the ruling alliance including the CPN (Maoist), the CPN (UML) and the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) are meeting today to decide division of portfolio in the new government lead by Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias ''Prachanda'' in Nepal.

A three-member team has been entrusted to finalise the ministerial portfolios for each party and the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the new government.

Kathmandu, August 13 : With only two days to go for Nepal’s Prime Minister election by the Constituent Assembly (CA), all major political parties have stepped up their internal consultations in a bid to form a post-election government.

Kathmandu, Aug 1 : The CPN-Maoist today decided to form a new Government based on Nepal national consensus under its leadership with common minimum programmes.

The meeting of the Maoist Central Committee (CC) that concluded here today took the official decision to lead the next Government.

Talking to media after the meeting, party spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara said that the party would make efforts to form a Government of Nepal national consensus.

Kathmandu, July 30 : The CPN-Maoist and the CPN-UML today agreed on the 35-member Nepali delegation team led by caretaker Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala to attend the 15th South Asian Association Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit on August 2.

During the meeting of top leaders of the four parties including the Nepali Congress (NC), the UML, the Maoists and the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF), it was agreed to let Prime Minister Koirala to head the 35-member strong Nepali delegation.

Kathmandu, July 28 : Nepal political parties represented in the Constituent Assembly (CA) today advised the CPN (Maoist) to take initiative for the formation of a unity Government in Nepal.

At the all-party meeting here, the parties suggested that Maoist being the largest party in the Constituent Assembly should try to garner consensus to lead the next Government.
