SRK Not To Receive “Datukship”!It is learnt that ace Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan has deferred a contentious ceremony to award him a Malaysian "Knighthood" because he is too busy.

Earlier, Khan was expected to arrive here on November 29 to receive the “Datukship” title.

Along with 77 people, SRK was awarded the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM) last month by the state of Malacca. The award carries the title Datuk, which is considered parallel to a British knighthood. Bollywood actors do have a large number of their fans in Malaysia.

According to sources, state officials are trying to arrange for an alternative date so that the actor is able to receive the prestigious title conferred on him by the state of Malacca.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said he had got wind of it but made no comments.
