Washington, January 5 : Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks have expressed their grief to devastated couple John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who lost their son on January 2.

The grieving parents' 16-year-old Jett was found unconscious in a bathroom, where he had apparently fallen and hit his head following a seizure, in the family's holiday home in the Bahamas.

Jett, who began suffering from seizures at the age of two and was a toddler when he was diagnosed with rare Kawasaki disease, had later been taken to Rand Memorial Hospital, Freeport, where he was pronounced dead.

Washington, Dec 20 : Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has been named as the `2008 Person of the Year' by animal-rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

According to PETA, the philanthropist uses her fame and listening audience to help the less fortunate, including animals.

She has used her talk show `Oprah Winfrey Show' to uncover horrific cases of cruelty to animals in puppy mills and on factory farms, and Oprah even used the show to highlight the cruelty-free vegan diet that she tried.

The talk show titan is eyeing lavish estates in the area, so that she can easily speak to the President about needful issues, according to sources.

Winfrey's team is apparently scouting for a nine-bedroom property in the ritzy Georgetown neighborhood with a whopping price tag of 50 million dollars, according to The New York Post.

New York, December 10: American talk show “queen” Oprah Winfrey apparently believes in being straightforward when it comes to talking about her weight, for she has revealed in an article that she currently weighs 200 pounds.

She also writes that she has “fallen off the wagon” when it comes to healthy living.

The article, released by Winfrey’s Harpo Productions, appears in the January issue of “O” magazine.

While Palin did make an appearance on other U. S. hosts Greta Van Susteren, Matt Lauer and Larry King’s shows to talked about her unsuccessful bid to reach the White House, but she ignored ‘The Oprah Show’ despite being invited.
