Washington, Feb 7: Mickey Rourke has signed on to star in indie action-thriller "St. Vincent," directed by Walter Hill for Occpuant Films and Secret Handshake Entertainment.
The film's production is slated to begin later this year.
Keith Calder, Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino of Occupant and Dena Hysell and Joe Gressis of Secret Handshake will produce the film.
Washington, Jan 29 : American actor Mickey Rourke has managed to anger real-life wrestler Chris Jericho with his TV threats of a match.
`The Wrestler' star offended Jericho with his comments at the Screen Actor Guild Awards on January 25, when he said he has plans of taking on the WWE wrestling star at the upcoming WrestleMania event in Houston, Texas.
"Chris Jericho, you better get in shape because I''m coming after your ass," Contactmusic quoted him as saying on the red carpet at the SAGs.
Washington, Jan 14 : Mickey Rourke has slammed media reports suggesting he took steroids to get in shape for his new film `The Wrestler'.
The `Sin City' actor has insisted that the media has exaggerated the comments he made in a magazine interview.
In a recent interview with U. S. magazine Men''s Journal, the Golden Globe winner hinted that he''d taken steroids to bulk up for his role as battered fighter Randy ''The Ram'' Robinson in the film.
In the interview, the 52-year-old actor was asked if he took steroids.

The 52-year-old star had a traumatic childhood and battled drug addiction for many years. He also underwent a therapy.
Rourke revealed that he hated his character in The Wrestler when he first read the script, but was adamant to play it to address his real life traumas.
