Washington, February 11 : Mickey Rourke has confessed that he wanted to ape veteran Al Pacino's fame and success, but landed elsewhere.
`The Wrestler' star revealed that his non-conforming attitude towards showbiz rules and politics prevented him from reaching the top most glory he had always dreamt of.
"I wanted to be as big as Al Pacino. I thought my acting ability was enough so I didn''t play by the rules, I ignored all the politics, I upset people and in the end I lost everything," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
London, Feb 11: American actor Mickey Rourke has once again made a move on another actress and this time too he was not very gentle about it.
Rourke, 56, had previously proposed model Abi Titmuss at the Baftas to join him in bed, and she had snubbed him.
The next day he made a move on married Brit actress Thandie Newton, 36, and did not seem bothered that her husband screenwriter Ol Parker was also present at the Elle Style Awards.
Washington, Feb 9 : American actor Mickey Rourke made a colourful acceptance speech at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, where he won the Leading Actor gong.
Rourke, who was awarded in recognition of his role as Randy `The Ram' Robinson in `The Wrestler', credited director Darren Aronofsky for rescuing his career.
While accepting his award he also made the star-studded audience laugh at his tales of being in the wilderness.
