"Armed forces are a category apart. And therefore this question of one rank, one pension has to be properly dealt with and justly endorsed," said Advani.

Talking to the reporters in New Delhi, Singh said "Advani has decided in his individual capacity that he will not be celebrating Holi as a mark of respect to those killed in the November 26 Mumbai terror attack."

Mangalore pub attack against Indian ethos: AdvaniBangalore, Feb 28 : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L. K. Advani on Saturday condemned the attack on young women at Mangalore pub by Sri Ram Sena, terming it a violation of Indian ethos.

"I strongly condemn the attack on girls in Mangalore. There can be no compromise on this. It is wrong and against Indian culture and ethos," Advani said.

People were entitled to have different perspectives on whether young men and women should visit pubs, but attacking them was wrong, he added.

L K AdvaniMadanapalli (Andhra Pradesh), Feb 28: Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani has claimed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would launch a farm income guarantee scheme for small farmers and give pension to aged farmers, if voted to power.

Addressing ''Vijay Sankalp'' rally at Madanapalli in Andhra Pradesh late Friday evening, he said, "A farm income guarantee scheme would be provided to small farmers......... if government employees can get pension, I do not see why aged farmers also should not get pension."

Advani starts poll campaign in Gandhinagar

Advani has won elections four times from this constituency.

He was addressing the media on the sidelines of a function to inaugurate a gymnasium complex built by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation here.

The BJP leader confirmed his decision to campaign from here for the upcoming general elections.
