New York, Dec. 31 : Washington lobbyist Vikki Iseman is suing the New York Times for 27 million dollars for publishing an explosive story last February that suggested a romantic link between her and Senator John McCain in 1999.
Long Island Business News reports that "the suit, filed in U. S. District Court in Richmond on Tuesday, alleges the article falsely communicated that Iseman and McCain had an illicit ''''romantic'''' relationship in 1999 when he was chair of the Senate Commerce Committee and she was a lobbyist representing clients before Congress."
Washington, Dec 31 : US Senator John McCain has expressed his fears that India might be on the verge of launching an attack on Pakistan in the wake of last month's terror attacks on Mumbai.
"The Indians are on the verge of some kind of attack on Pakistan," the former Republican presidential candidate was quoted by The News, as saying.
