Washington, Feb 16 : After much hullabaloo over his alleged attack on Rihanna, that left her with horrific injuries, singer Chris Brown has broken his silence over the much-speculated matter by issuing a statement.

A disappointed Brown issued a statement via his spokesman.

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God''s help, to emerging a better person," People magazine quoted him as stating.

New York, Feb 16 : Rapper Jay -Z, who is disappointed by Chris Brown's alleged attack on Rihanna, has urged people to sympathize with the `Umbrella' hitmaker.

Jay-Z, who helped the Barbados-born star carve out a career in the music industry, is pushing fans to think of her like a close one, who suffered abuse.

"You have to have compassion for others, Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that," the New York Daily News quoted him as telling People magazine.

London, Feb 16: Pop star Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty has confirmed that his daughter has split from Chris Brown, who allegedly assaulted her.

Brown allegedly left the `Umbrella' hitmaker with a split lip, a bloody nose, and bite marks on her hands, as well as threatened to kill her, after a heated argument.

Livid over the incident, Fently revealed that the disappointing incident marked an end to Brown's relationship with Rihanna.

London, Feb 15 : R&B singer Rihanna has dumped her boyfriend Chris Brown, it has emerged.

The pair hit the headlines earlier this week after Brown was arrested for allegedly assaulting the `Umbrella' hitmaker, reportedly leaving her with a bloody nose, swollen lip and facial bruising.

Rihanna, 20, had apparently wanted to stand by Brown. But, after listening to her friends and family who pleaded with her to dump the `Run It' singer, the Barbados-born star has decided to end the relationship.

Washington, Feb 14 : Carrie Underwood has said that Chris Brown and Rihanna seemed fine when she saw them at Clive Davis'' Pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills, and that the rumours about the couple are ridiculous.

Underwood spotted the couple at the bash, just hours before Brown allegedly assaulted Rihanna.

"They were fine at the Grammy party," Us magazine quoted Underwood as saying.

Washington, Feb 14 : American singer/songwriter Chris Brown''s father has revealed that his son is "remorseful" about the incident that took place with his girlfriend Rihanna.

Clinton Brown, 44, who is a corrections officer, also revealed that the singer was at home, reflective and filled with concern ever since his arrest.

"He''s reflecting on this situation," People magazine quoted him as saying in an interview at his home outside Tappahannock.
