`Show me where the Queen lives, Obama asks Brown

London, July 28 : British Prime Minister Gordon Brown had to take on a new job recently – that of being a V. I. P. tour guide to presumptive US Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama.

As soon as he arrived in London and met Brown, Obama asked every tourist’s favourite question: “Can you show me where the Queen lives?”

The request prompted Brown to act as a VIP tour guide for the U. S. senator, reports The Mirror.

However, alarmed American and British secret service officials curtailed their walkabout after astonished tourists came to close to dignitaries outside Buckingham Palace.

London, July 28 : The major milestone in Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s campaign after his Berlin moment in front of 200,000 Germans, will be the selection of a vice presidential candidate.

The selection of a vice-presidential candidate is “the one last remaining wild card in any campaign for the presidency,” said Obama’s spokesman Robert Gibbs after the Illinois Senator wrapped up his 16,000-mile tour in London.

“It will cause a pretty big ripple,” The Independent quoted Gibbs, as saying.

Blair had a breakfast meeting with Obama at the latter''s London hotel, and The News quoted Blair''s spokesman as saying that their talks focused on the Middle East peace process.

Obama -- who has been travelling abroad in a high-profile effort to show US voters how he can handle foreign policy issues -- was in Jordan, Israel and the West Bank earlier in the week.
