Palestinian killed in village near Ramallah
Ramallah - Israeli soldiers opened fire and killed a Palestinian in a village near Ramallah early Thursday, according to Voice of Palestine radio station.
The station said soldiers opened fire on Palestinians in the village of Kufr Malik, west of Ramallah, during a pre-dawn raid, killing one and injuring another.
This is the third Palestinian Israeli soldiers have killed in the Ramallah area in the last 24 hours.
A 22-year-old Palestinian from Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah, died late Wednesday night of wounds sustained when soldiers stationed at nearby Beit El military camp opened fire on stone- throwing Palestinians after the funeral of a 17-year-old Jalazoun resident killed the night before in similar circumstances.
Hospital sources said the 22-year-old was shot in the chest. (dpa)
