Pak test fires Babur cruise missile
Islamabad, Dec 11: Pakistan today successfully test-fired Hatf-VII or Babur, a surface-to-surface cruise missile with a range of 700 kilometres.
According to ISPR, the launch of the Hatf-VII or Babur missile, which has a range of 700-km (435 miles), is "part of a continuous process of validating the design parameters set for this weapon system. "
The army did not say if the Babur missile is nuclear-capable, but said that the test would consolidate Pakistan's strategic capability and strengthen national security.
Chairman Joint Chiefs Staff Committee General Tariq Majeed witnessed the test, The News reported. (ANI)
