North Korea agrees to hold new round of nuclear talks this week
Seoul - The six-nations taking part in discussions to end North Korea's nuclear programme will meet later this week after a nine-month break, said a South Korean official Tuesday.
The appraisal of a long-awaited nuclear declaration delivered by Pyongyang in late June and the establishment of a verification mechanism will be on the agenda at Thursday's meeting, Kim Sook, South Korea's chief nuclear envoy, told Yonhap news agency before departing for China for the talks.
Besides the two Koreas, also participating in the nuclear talks are the US, China, Russia and Japan. (dpa)
