New Delhi, Aug 13 : Coordinated efforts by various ministries will strengthen the government systems and will help in enhancing maternal health care, Planning Commission member Syeda Hameed said Tuesday.

"Planning Commission is considering having a meeting with multiple ministries like health and women and child development on urgent cross-cutting issues like health and nutrition," Hameed said.

She suggested that recommendations on crucial health issues like maternal health care can be shared with the National Rural Health Mission steering group meeting that would be held soon in August.

New Delhi, Aug 13 : India Tuesday said it was still in a sense of shock over ceasefire violations by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir and called for a return to peace and tranquility on the border.

"There is a sense of disappointment. We first need to get back to normal. There are other priorities," External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.

"There has to be peace and tranquility on the border. Ceasefire should not be violated. We are still in a sense of shock."

Prague, Aug 13 : The Czech Republic's Prime Minister Jiri Rusnok Tuesday submitted his cabinet's resignation to President Milos Zeman after his failure last Wednesday to win the vote of confidence in parliament.

The cabinet of technocrats was formed by President Zeman last month.

The president accepted their resignations and asked the current cabinet to continue working until a new government was appointed, Xinhua reported.
