Mumbai, Aug 20 : Japanese auto maker Nissan Tuesday showcased the new Terrano premium compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) all set to go on sale in October across the country.

Refusing to give any details on pricing, the company said that the starting price tag for the car would be below Rs. 10 lakh and that the bookings will commence Sep 1.

"Terrano marks our entry into the compact SUV segment, which is one of the fastest growing segments in the Indian market today," Kenichiro Yomura, president, Nissan India Operations, said.

Johannesburg, Aug 20 : The Indian economy's current low growth has consequences and implications for all BRICS nations, South African Trade and Industries Minister Rob Davies said here.

"What we have seen is that the levels of growth are not what they were a couple of years ago, and it has all kinds of consequences. So if there is lower growth in India or China or Brazil, as there is (in India), it has consequences and implications for all of us," Davies told mediapersons at the two-day BRICS Business Council meet that ends Tuesday.

The messages can be sent in the form of posts on the websites, via e-mails and SMS to the registered users on the website.

Bangalore, Aug 20 : Leading Gulf carrier Qatar Airways will fly Boeing's Dreamliner to Bangalore and New Delhi from Sep 1 from its capital Doha.

"We are introducing Dreamliner to Bangalore and New Delhi, which are two of our important routes in India, to provide a great flying experience with excellent service and comfort," airline's country manager Henry Moses said in a statement here Tuesday.

The airline's 787s boast of wireless facilities to enable its passengers to remain in touch with those on the ground through internet and SMS mobile texting across business and economy classes.

New Delhi, Aug 20 : Increased use of smartphones by Indian users helped the mobile handset market post revenues of Rs. 35,946 crore in 2012-13 compared to Rs. 31,330 crore in 2011-12, a growth of 14.7 percent, a Voice&Data survey revealed Tuesday.

The 18th annual survey 'V&D 100' covered over 30 mobile handset companies doing business in India across categories like feature phones, multimedia phones, enterprise phones and smartphones. Both multi-national and Indian mobile phone firms were surveyed for this report.
