Mumbai, Aug 24 : Actor Irrfan is unhappy with the reaction of the country's system to the escalating rape incidents. He feels this apathy will only lead to an increase in number of such cases.

Reacting to the rape of a photojournalist in Mumbai Thursday evening, Irrfan said, "I feel it (rape cases) will grow more and more. I was asked to react on the Nirbhaya incident also, and the way the system is reacting to such incidents, I feel it will only grow."

Chennai, Aug 24 : India's insurance regulator, with a mandate to protect policyholders' interests, seems to be soft on errant life insurers, say consumer activists, citing the recent penalty on Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Ltd.

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) had, Aug 21, levied a penalty of Rs. 7,800,000 on the Pune-based Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Ltd for rejecting 78 death claims without any valid reason.

The discovery, which has been named Dhirubhai-56 (D-56), was made on August 17 in the Cauvery basin's CY-DWN-201/2 block. Since the day of the discovery, the exploration well has been flowing nearly 1 million standard cu. m. of gas with condensate (oil) per day, which indicates that it is a major discovery.

The Dutch government has indicated that it is planning to sell shares in leading bank, ABN AMRO through an initial public offering (IPO) during the next year.

Experts have said that the government is not likely to recover its costs through the sale of shares. The government has estimated that the bank has market value of about _15 billion, which is higher than estimated by some financial analysts but much lower than what the Dutch taxpayers had invested in the bank to rescue it during the financial crisis in 2008.
