Los Angeles, Aug 29 : Socialite Kim Kardashian wants the best for her younger sister Khloe Kardashian, and she hopes the latter's marriage to basketball player Lamar Odom, works out.

Khloe and Lamar's four-year-old marriage hit a rocky patch when he was accused of infidelity and it was revealed that the basketball player had taken to drugs again.

While some reports suggest that divorce is imminent, Kim wants Khloe and Lamar to sort out their differences.

"She only wants what's best for Khloe ... (Kim) would like to see them work it out," eonline. com quoted a source as saying.

New Delhi, Aug 29 - Payal Pratap has her own brand and she is experienced too, but she always takes her husband and fellow designer Rajesh Pratap Singh's suggestions on her ensembles.

"We do discuss and take each others suggestions. It is always good to have someone who honestly critique my work," Payal, who recently opened her first flagship store in the capital, told IANS when asked if she takes suggestions from her husband.

India is all set to launch GSAT-7, the country's first satellite dedicated for maritime communications, on Friday this week.

The GSAT-7, which is 71st satellite developed by the Indian space agency ISRO since 1975, will be launched from, Arianespace, the European space consortium, from French Guiana's Kourou spaceport.

Mumbai, Aug 29 - A benchmark index of Indian equities markets gained 276.03 points or 1.53 percent during pre-noon trade Thursday as the rupee rebounded after hitting a record low on Wednesday.

After falling to a record low of 68.75 against a dollar, the rupee rebounded after the Reserve Bank of India's move to provide dollars directly to oil companies. The rupee was trading at 67.71 against a dollar at 11.17 a. m.

Chennai, Aug 29 - Tamil actor Vishal Krishna Reddy, who turned 36 Thursday, celebrated his birthday on the sets of his upcoming film "Pandianadu" here.

"We threw a surprise party at midnight. We made Vishal sir cut a customised cake on this occasion, while the rest of the film's crew wished him with bouquet and garlands. Some fans from his fan club visited him on sets and wished him," a member from the film's unit told IANS.

Mumbai, Aug 29 - Filmmaker Prakash Jha took a break from being behind the scenes and faced the cameras for a scene in his forthcoming film "Satyagraha", which hits the screens Friday. He says it was an instinctive decision to feature in the scene.

"It is true I have done a cameo in the film. It's a crucial scene in the film and it was a purely instinctive decision on the sets to be a part of this scene. I had not planned it," Jha told IANS.
