Washington: Scientists have found that combining exercise with chemotherapy may shrink tumours more than chemotherapy alone.

Researchers from the University of Pennsylvania found that exercise may benefit cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Joseph Libonati, an associate professor in the School of Nursing and director of the Laboratory of Innovative and Translational Nursing Research, senior author on the study, and colleagues were particularly interested in testing whether exercise could protect against the negative cardiac-related side effects of the common cancer drug doxorubicin.

Washington, Sept 20 - A new research has revealed about the discovery of a hadrosaur species with a truly distinctive nasal profile that lived approximately 75 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period.

The study at North Carolina State University shows that the new dinosaur named Rhinorex, which translates roughly into "King Nose," was a plant-eater and a close relative of other Cretaceous hadrosaurs like Parasaurolophus and Edmontosaurus.

Hadrosaurs are usually identified by bony crests that extended from the skull, but Edmontosaurus doesn't have such a hard crest (paleontologists have discovered that it had a fleshy crest).

Karachi - Pakistan's flamboyant all-rounder and national T20 captain Shahid Afridi may join the growing band of international cricketers who have opted to retire from other formats to focus only on T20 cricket.

Afridi told reporters at the national stadium that he could quit one-day internationals after the 2015 World Cup to focus only on T20 cricket. "I might do this because the PCB has appointed me captain of the national T20 side until the World T20 in
2016 and I want to focus completely on building a strong team that is capable of winning back the title for Pakistan," Afridi said.

New Delhi: The CBI will investigate the circumstances of the FIPB approval given by the then Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the Aircel-Maxis deal in 2006.

The agency told a special court in its chargesheet in the case that Mauritius-based M/s Global Communication Services Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Maxis, had sought approval for USD 800 million for which Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) was competent to do so.

New Delhi, Sept 19 : Actor Deepika Padukone on Friday demanded that respect be accorded to women and slammed news organisations for constructing what she called "cheap headlines".

In an open letter posted on Facebook in response to the potentially damaging article posted about her in a national daily, Padukone said, "When an actress's inner wear decides to do a "peek-a-boo", she most definitely did not step out with the intention to do so. So, instead of zooming in, circling it and pointing arrows at it, why don't we give her some 'respect' and let it go instead of making it 'headlines'".
