Two TSA employees fired as they ‘manipulated’ security system at Dallas International Airport

Two Transportation Security Administration screeners were removed from their job because of accusations that they manipulated the security system at Dallas International Airport.

They did this so that one of them, a man, might grope attractive male passengers coming through the checkpoint. On Monday, the story was firstly reported by CBS Denver and he said that TSA employees were fired after about a dozen such instances of unlawful sexual contact.

The police said that the male TSA employee would alert a female colleague when he found an attractive man coming to the checkpoint. In reply, woman would press a button on the scanning machine to indicate an anomaly in the genital area. This allows the male screener an excuse to do a pat-down search of the targeted passengers.

On Tuesday, the Marana, Arizona police department released a dashboard-camera footage of an incident taken place on February 19.

The video shows a police cruiser ramming into an armed robbery suspect. The act sent the man flying into the air. Mario Valencia, 36, was able to survive the crash. Investigation was carried out in the incident during which police officer driving the car, Michael Rapiejko, was sent on administrative leave.

But now, he is back on the job and the Pima County Attorney's Office has also given him a clear chit of any wrongdoing. The video is now catching attention of people. It is time when already situation in tensed over the use of force by police across the nation.

Researchers have revealed in an announcement that the first-ever transcatheter mitral valve replacement device has been flawlessly implanted, making a great success in the field of medical science. Lives of many patients suffering from disease or damage to their valves could be saved with the help of the device.

The research was conducted at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF), examining the use of valves from pigs to repair the broken valves of patients with heart problems. “The Tendyne Bioprosthetic Mitral Valve is designed to give implanting physicians total control because it is fully repositionable and retrievable which allows physicians to see the outcome before the procedure is closed”, said principle investigator Dr. Wes Pedersen.

FDA objects to use of ‘healthy’ word and ‘+’ symbol on KINDSnacks’ products and website

The Food and Drug Administration has asked KINDSnacks, which manufactures fruit, nut and grain bars, to remove the word 'healthy' from its packaging and website, in addition to the '+' symbol. The FDA watches out that which packaged foods use the word 'healthy' and the symbol '+' for their marketing purposes. The use of such words is not taken very seriously, however in terms of food regulation, it indicates a totally different meaning.

On Tuesday, a letter detailing the FDA's objections was posted on the agency's website. 'Healthy' word indicates that the product has one gram or less of saturated fat. And the calories from saturated fat should not exceed 15% of the total.
