Washington, June 18 : President Barack Obama will sit down for a Father''s Day interview with CBS News'', which will be broadcast on CBS News Sunday Morning at 9 a. m. ET on Sunday, June 21.

The second part of the interview, to be conducted at the White House on Friday, June 19, will be aired on The Early Show on Monday, June 22 starting at 7 a. m. ET.

London, June 18 : A black cat named Socks miraculously survived a month trapped in a 20ft industrial storage container - by licking condensation on its walls.

The 11-month-old feline reunited with its owners after electrician Murray Ruxton found it inside the container.

He survived 35 days without food or water by licking condensation from the sides of the metal unit in Arbroath, Angus.

Socks went missing on May 13 and owner Michelle Maher, of Arbroath, reported him missing to the charity Cats Protection.

London, June 18 : British newspapers more than 200 years old are now available online, thanks to a new Internet service from the country's national library.

Visitors can view more than two million pages of newspapers dated as early as 1800 from 49 national and regional titles.

The new service from the British Library offers searches for free while full-text articles can be downloaded by purchasing either a 24-hour or seven-day pass at 6.99 and 9.99 pounds respectively.

Washington, June 18 : A new study has indicated that sport hunters are depleting lion and cougar populations in the United States and Africa.

The study was led by Craig Packer, a University of Minnesota professor and renowned authority on lion behavior, who worked with an international team of conservationists.

The study looked at numbers of lions and cougars killed by hunters over the past 15 to 25 years in Africa and the western United States.

The analysis suggested that management agencies often adjusted quotas to control rather than conserve the big cats in areas where humans or livestock were threatened.
