Coimbatore, June 17 : Union Textiles Minister Dayanidhi Maran has said that the government would try to achieve seven to eight per cent growth in the industry during the current fiscal year, April 2009-March''10. This would generate more than two million jobs every year, he said.

Bhopal June 17 : The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Bhopal has framed a charge sheet against underworld don Abu Salem in connection with a fake passport case.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, defence lawyer Jiten Soni said that the court has issued a charge sheet against Salem under Sections 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and also under Section 12 B of the Indian Passport Act.

100 billion rupiah (9.8 million dollars) from a foundation run by the bank in 2003.

Washington - The launch of the space shuttle Endeavour for a 16-day mission to the International Space Station (ISS) was postponed Wednesday due to a hydrogen gas leak.

The shuttle had been scheduled to take off at 5:40 am (0940 GMT) from Cape Canaveral, Florida after a four-day delay caused by an earlier hydrogen leak. It was to carry the final pieces to the Japanese Kibo module of the ISS.

The latest leak developed during fuelling, NASA said.
