As per media reports, 52 residents of slum area of Mohali village were taken to civil hospital in Phase VI with diarrhoea-like symptoms on Sunday.

The reports added that six of the patients were children.

However, all of them are said to be safe.

A few of diarrhoea cases were reported on Saturday evening, but the number of cases increased on Sunday.

Dr. Avtar Singh, Civil Surgeon stated that the cases were reported from Street No. 2 of the village and the major cause behind the disease was contaminated water.

Tehran  - Iran's powerful Guardian Council said Sunday there were some irregularities in the June 12 presidential election, which has been widely disputed and triggered bloody street protests.

The Guardian Council admitted that the number of votes collected in 50 cities was more than the number of eligible voters, the council's spokesman Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei told the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) channel.

In an interview published Monday in German daily Bild, he said the main goal should be to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Given Iran's support to terrorism, nuclear weapons could be given to terrorists, Netanyahu said, adding that "this is a very great danger."

London, June 21 : Joyous over his team's brilliant performance in the ICC World Twenty 20 Championship, which saw Pakistan sealing a place in the final of the mega-event for the second consecutive time, coach Intikhab Alam has said that the Pakistan team has not been affected by the absence of pace spearhead Shoaib Akhtar.

Commending the performance of some of the younger players in the team, Alam said his team has hardly faced any difficulty due to Akhtar's absence.
