London, June 9: Chimpanzees have an inherent spatial memory that makes them remember the exact location of all their favourite fruit trees, according to a study.

In fact, primatologists have found that their spatial memory is so precise that they can find a single tree among more than 12,000 others within a patch of forest.

Moreover, the chimps also recall how productive each tree is, and decide to travel further to eat from those they know will yield the most fruit.

Srinagar, June 9 : The Jammu and Kashmir government has banned the transportation, dumping, sale and use of non-biodegradable materials in the state.

It includes 16 items of non-biodegradable material including polythene, poly bags, nylon, thermocol.

To this end, the government had issued a notification on May 11 under Jammu and Kashmir Non-Biodegradable Materials Act of 2007.

Stock market analyst Ashwani Gujral maintained ‘Buy’ rating on DLF to achieve a target above Rs 425 in the coming days.

According to Mr. Gujral, investors can buy the stock above Rs 365 with a stop loss of Rs 345.

Shares of the company, on Monday (June 08), closed at Rs 365.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Current EPS and P/E of the stock stood at 9.12 & 40.12 respectively. The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 576 and a low of Rs 124.15 on BSE.

Mr. Gujral also advised that the interested investors can buy the stock around yesterday’s closing level (Rs 365.85), and hold it to achieve the said target.

London, June 9 : A new study suggests that chemistry changes inside the body start occurring several years before a person begins to show the symptoms of type 2 diabetes.

University College London researchers, who led the study published in the journal The Lancet, say that specific changes in blood glucose levels and sensitivity to the hormone insulin occur inside a person years before he/she develops type 2 diabetes.

London, June 9  Eating oily fish at least twice a week may benefit people suffering from age-related macular degeneration (AMD), according to a study.

Previous studies have already shown that omega-3 fatty acids, found in abundance in fish like mackerel and salmon, can reduce the risk of getting AMD, but now this latest work suggests that these fats also benefit patients who already have the disease.
