Blue Origin Successfully Tests Uncrewed Rocket

So far we have known that Elon Musk and his company SpaceX are working hard to bring transformation in the private spaceflight industry. But now, Musk is not alone in the race as recently Blue Origin, a company established by Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, launched an uncrewed rocket and made a successful soft landing at a pad in West Texas.

Bezos said in a statement that the uncrewed test marks as a major step towards the full rocket reusability, which could pave way for human exploration at a very low cost of spaceflight.

During a press briefing on Tuesday he said, “To be able to do a vertical landing with a fully reusable booster stage is a really big deal. It is the Holy Grail — to get full reuse”.

New Laws to Allow Pharmacists in California and Oregon Prescribe Hormonal Contraceptives

Although the new laws will not allow the birth controls available ‘over the counter’, it will only make getting birth control a convenient one-stop-shopping affair.

Republicans in these two states also supported legislation, and favored the larger economic argument for preventing unintended pregnancies.

Drinking Habits of Men and Women are Becoming Similar: Study

It is assumed that men drink more alcohol than alcohol, but a new study by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) has revealed that women are closing the gender drinking gap by drinking alcohol more like men.

Lead researcher Aaron White and researchers at NIAAA analyzed data from national surveys conducted from 2002 to 2012. According to White, “We found that over that period of time, differences in measures such as current drinking, number of drinking days per month, reaching criteria for an alcohol use disorder, and driving under the influence of alcohol in the past year, all narrowed for females and males”.
