A video of a haircut was uploaded by the BarberShapp salon on their Facebook page. The page refers to the so called haircut as being ‘Quirky, Stylish and Smooth’ and is considering it as ‘a new trend in the making’. BarberShapp is a mobile application that connects barbers and customers.

The video was posted on Friday which shows a model’s hair being cut by a hairdresser in an asymmetrical and layered manner. Facebook users have extremely condemned this haircut and are not even considering it as one.

The video has already received over 9 million views on Facebook and 41,000 comments. Most of them are negative. Users have criticized the haircut and given their verdict that this will definitely not be any sort of trend.

A government study has revealed that in 2005, two out of 100,000 women without breast cancer opted for bilateral mastectomies, while the number in 2013 increased by more than double to 4.4. During the same period, the total number of mastectomies rose by 36%. The number of surgeries increased from 66 to 99 per 100,000 women, while the number of double mastectomies increased by three-fold to 29.7 from 9.1 per 100,000 women.

In addition, the age of the women undergoing bilateral mastectomies in 2013 was 10 years lower than those undergoing unilateral mastectomy.

A study on about one thousand people found that consumption of chocolate could increase brain power. The finding claimed that intake of chocolate could be a factor against natural cognitive decline that come with age. The participants were given tasks to perform to measure a wide range of cognitive function, including visual-Spatial Memory and Organization, Working Memory, Scanning and Tracking, Abstract Reasoning, and the Mini-Mental State Examination. The study has been published in the journal Appetite.

Just 5% of body weight loss could take obese a long way to fight type 2 diabetes and coronary heart disease. Acting on this insignificant proportion could play significant role in lives of people suffering from obesity. This is a new finding by researchers from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

Earlier, it was suggested to reduce body weight by about 5 to 10% for good health. But now, the experts recommend something else. “Five percent is really a very reasonable goal for most obese patients to achieve, it’s much easier than 10%”, said senior author Dr. Samuel Klein of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

Vaginal seeding first started in Australia, but it is now getting increasingly popular in the UK. Seeding is a practice in which babies are covered with vaginal fluid immediately after a caesarean birth.
