Bangkok: Pakistani held for supplying fake passports to criminal syndicates, terrorist groups

Bangkok [Thailand], Sept. 30 : In yet another incident, the interrogation of three foreigners arrested in connection with criminal activities from a residential area here by the Royal Metropolitan Police of Thailand has led them to a Pakistani fake documents racketeer, who is currently serving a jail sentence in Thailand.

However it is not the first time that a Pakistani has been linked to supply of fake passports to criminal syndicates and terrorist groups, including al-Qaeda; in 2014 and 2012, many Pakistanis were arrested by the Thai police in this connection.

Kolkata Test: India opt to bat; no Gambhir in playing XI

New Delhi [India], Sept. 30 : A host of Bollywood celebrities, including megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and others, have expressed their support and commended the Indian Army's action to root out terrorism across the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday.

Appreciating the 'much-requisite' surgical strike, actor Akshay Kumar tweeted, "Proud of the Indian Army for successfully carrying out the anti-terrorism operation. Glad the Government took this bold step, was about time!'

King Khan in his tweet said "Thanx Indian Army for the action against terrorism. We should all pray for safety and well being of our Indian soldiers."

In a vouching statement for the armed forces, Amitabh Bachchan said, "Don't mess with the Indian Army" !!

Border areas in JK, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat on alert post surgical strikes by Indian Army

Srinagar [India], Sept. 30 : The Border Security Force (BSF) has put all its units along the International Border on high alert in the wake of the surgical strikes by India on terror launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday night.

Officials said the BSF headquarters in New Delhi has issued orders to all its units along International Border in Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat to step up vigil.

BSF has restricted all civilian movement along borders with Pakistan and has also been asked by the Centre to provide manpower to local administration for evacuation of people from border villages to safer locations.

In Punjab, Government has ordered evacuation of civil population from villages falling within 10 kilometers of the border of state with Pakistan.

Rajnath to meet top ITBP officials to review security situation in border areas

New Delhi [India], Sept. 30 : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will today hold a meeting with the top officials of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) to review the security situation in border areas.

The meeting comes a day after India conducted surgical strikes on seven terrorist launch pads along the Line of Control (LoC) early on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference here, Director General of Military Operations Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh said "significant casualty was caused to terrorists during the operation".
