A study conducted by the Purdue University concluded that regular cycling can cut your risk of heart disease by a whopping 50 percent.

Similarly, the Copenhagen Heart Study, which monitored over 5000 people over a period of 14 years, found a major association between high intensity cycling and reduced risk of coronary heart disease death.

Cardiovascular diseases are responsible for over 30 percent of the global deaths annually.

The 'Jason Bourne' star turned 46 on October 8 and in celebration of his special day, his long time 'frenemy' Jimmy Kimmel, who hosts American late-night talk show, ' Jimmy Kimmel Live!' took to social media to send him a kind of well wishes, reports E! Online.

In an Instagram post, the 48-year-old host sported a gray T-shirt emblazoned with the actor's face and words poking fun at Damon's middle name.

Chennai [Tamil Nadu], Oct. 9 : In Tamil Nadu, the high level central technical team led by Central water commission chairman G S Jha will be visiting Mettur Dam today to begin its two-day assessment of ground realities.

The high level technical team constituted by Supreme Court visited Cauvery basin dams in Karnataka and assessed water storage.

According to reports, the team will file their report to the Supreme Court on 17th of this month.

Earlier, the technical panel constituted to solve differences between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu regarding the Cauvery water dispute said it will gather all facts regarding the matter and place them before the Supreme Court.
