HTC-Rcom tie up to launch ‘Android’ smartphone

HTC-Rcom-Android-smartphoneHTC, the handset maker based in Taiwan, agreed to an exclusive partnership with the cellular operator Reliance Communications with the aim of launching a smartphone enabled with the latest 3G technology in the Indian market, at a price of Rs. 16,590.

This new 3G Android phone, called the HTC Wildfire, is slated to be released at authorised HTC stores and sellers all over the country.

The phone will have the Android operating system which is usually useable on mobile devices like tablet computers and netbooks, besides cellular phones.

Even the biggest mutual fund, Anil Ambani's Reliance MF was unable to hold on to its gains and fell down.

In all, the AUM of the whole sector went down by Rs 10,296.15 crore, or 1.52 per cent. The combined average AUM of the sector, which consisted 39 funds stood at Rs 6,65,567 crore in July.
