Shatrughan Sinha is now standing on the other side of the law in Bihar. The actor turned MP from the political party BJP has been issued an arrest warrant on the charges of violating the model code. Sinha was holding a meeting in Bihar for the upcoming election last year for the candidate from Ramnagar.

Mumbai, Jan 24 - A benchmark index for an Indian equities market Monday moved further up from its opening levels trading flat in noon trade even as broader markets saw buying action.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 19,095.69 points, was ruling at 19,172.23 points - 164.70 points or 0.87 percent up from its previous close at 19,007.53 points.

The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange too was ruling tightly bound at 5,748.1 points, 51.6 points or 0.91 percent higher.

Mumbai, Jan 24 - Income Tax sleuths swooped on the office and residence of Bollywood megastars Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra Monday morning in connection with alleged tax evasion cases, an official said.

The raids started around 7.30 a. m. simultaneously at 12 sites, including the residences of the two actresses in the western suburbs. Priyanka's home in Versova, Andheri West, was raided.

Also raided were the homes of their secretaries, their respective office premises and other locations, the official said.

Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif might have ruled Bollywood last year but that is going to disturb their peaceful life this year. This Monday morning started with a shocking event for both these leading ladies of Bollywood. Income Tax department officials have started raid at the residential and office premise of both the actresses this morning.
