Ford Figo has earned three awards including the ZigWheels .com Viewers Choice car. Hero Honda had won the bike manufacturer of the year for the consecutive second year.

Former executive of BP, Tony Hayward may be a possible candidate for the board of director of Glencore.

That is seriously going to be a big leap for the man who was thrown out of the post of CEO in BP after the Gulf of Mexico oil spill happened.

Glencore is the world's biggest commodity trader and entering it would mean that Tony will be able to regain his stature in the industry. He was forced to step down from his post as CEO of BP in October after facing a lot of criticism for his gaffe-prone public appearances when the firm was facing the oil spill crisis.

Share prices of China Unicom Hong Kong Ltd reached to its two-year high after it was announced that Telefonica SA is going to increase its stake in the company. It gained more than 3.9 per cent at the Hong Kong exchange to be at HK$12.82.

Considering just the intra-day rise, it is the highest that the company has seen since Sept. 8, 2008. Post the deal, the total stake of Telefonica in China Unicom will become 9.77 per cent.

On the other hand, the Chinese company is going to raise its stake by 1.37 per cent in its Spanish operation.

Metro rail has entered Bangalore. On Sunday, Metro began its trails from Byappanahalli Station at 4.03 pm towards Mahatma Gandhi Station, MG Road, shoppers. Everybody was excited to watch this trial.

Mollywood director Vinayan is now working on his fifth Kollywood film Kadhal Vedham, which has a newcomer named Muralikrishna in the male lead role. He has signed actress Meghna Raj of Kadhal Solla Vandhen fame for the female lead role.

Gautham will be seen in the second male lead role. Apart from the young faces, Vinayan has also cast veteran actors like Thilakan and Charu Hassan to play other important roles. They play freedom fighters, who raise their voice against selfish politicians.
